I fell in love with the bright forehead of Wadah
made dawn shine forth on the horizon of the sky.
In it the dawn in the horizon of the sky shone white
لقدindeed قمرhe illuminated with moonlight الظلماءthe darkness فهيand it is ذؤابةٌa tress
لقد قمر الظلماء فهي ذؤابةٌ
ألاah! هلquestion marker رأيتمyou (plural) have seen مثلهlike him قمرa moon الدجاthe night's darkness
ألا هل رأيتم مثله قمر الدجا
He has indeed bathed the darkness in moonlight—and it is a tress.
He was indeed the moon of the dark nights for it is glowing
