لقدindeed أرسلتshe has sent خرقاءُKharqa نحويtoward me جَرِيَّهاher messenger
لقد أرسلت خرقاءُ نحوي جَرِيَّها
لتجعلنيso that she might make me خرقاءُKharqa ممنone of those whom أَضَلَّتِshe has led astray
لتجعلني خرقاءُ ممن أَضَلَّتِ
Kharqa has indeed sent her messenger toward me,
so that Kharqa might make me one of those she has led astray.
وخرقاءُand Kharqa لاnot تزدادُshe grows إِلاexcept in مَلاحَةًloveliness
وخرقاءُ لا تزدادُ إِلا مَلاحَةً
ولوeven if عُمِّرَتshe were granted long life تَعمِيرَa lifespan like that of نوحٍNoah وجَلَّتِand grew old
ولو عُمِّرَت تَعمِيرَ نوحٍ وجَلَّتِ
And Kharqa grows only more lovely,
even if she were to live as long as Noah and grow old.
