سمعناwe have heard بالصديقof the friend ولاbut do not نراهwe see him
سمعنا بالصديق ولا نراه

على التحقيق يوجد في الأنامِ
We have heard of the friend, but do not see him
We've heard of this friend, though we do not see him
Actually existing among humankind.
Truly among people he can be found
وأحسبهand I think him محالاًan impossibility نمقوهthey embellished him
وأحسبه محالاً نمقوه
علىin وجهthe manner of المجازfigurative expression منof الكلامspeech
على وجه المجاز من الكلام
And I think him an impossibility they have embellished
Yet I think it impossible we could grasp him
By way of figurative speech.
