Listen, O people who have gathered
O people gathered in Mecca, are you people or scattered sand dunes?

For, by God, I do not know, and I am indeed asking:
If Hamdan will defend their honor or abandon it
Is it Hamdan that defends itself against humiliation, or Yuhabir,
Or if the noblest descent of donkey boys

While your father bequeathed separation amongst you
and your father enjoin you to turn your backs on one another?
