How wondrous love is—what it can do!
What can God do about love?
The king of the age bows to it and submits.
It subdues the king of time and humbles him.

Love has dominion, mighty in its stature.
Love has great authoritative power,
Whatever words it speaks, my heart listens.
No matter how little it says, my heart listens.

أقبلI approach إليهto him بحالتيwith my standing أتضرعI implore
If the master of my lifeblood grows fond of estrangement,
If it allures with estrangement, the owner of my inner self,
I turn to him, for all my standing, pleading.
I come to it with my condition pleading.

What has my standing availed me before love?
How did my condition benefit with love?
Love's standing is ever nobler and higher.
The state of love is forever most glorious and lofty.
