فصرت لملكنا عقده

Indeed, you have been won, O Ronda,

You have succeeded, O warrior,

and become a binding knot for our kingdom.

Spears won you for us,

You have benefited from spears

and swords with keen edges,

With sharp edges,

وأجناد أشداء

إليهم تنتهي الشده

and mighty soldiers,

And hardy armies -

in whom strength reaches its height.

To them goes all the exertion.

غدوت يرونني مولا

هم وأراهم عده

هم وأراهم عده

I have become, in their eyes, a lord

They now see me as a master;

of theirs, while I regard them as a source of strength.

I see them as a group.

سأفني مدة الأعداء

سأفني مدة الأعداء

إن طالت وأراهم عده

إن طالت وأراهم عده

I shall bring the enemies’ span to an end,

I will finish off the enemies' time

if it lasts long; and I regard them as a source of strength.

If it is long, and I see them as a group.

وتبلى بي ضلالتهم

وتبلى بي ضلالتهم

ليزداد الهدى جده

ليزداد الهدى جده

And through me their misguidance will wear away,

And their misguidance will wear out through me,

so that guidance may grow fresher.

So guidance will become more steadfast.

فكم من عدة قتلت

فكم من عدة قتلت

منهم بعدها عده

منهم بعدها عده

How many a band have I slain

For how many groups have I killed,

of them, followed by another band!

Then more groups after them?

نظمت رؤوسهم عقدا

نظمت رؤوسهم عقدا

فحلت لبة السده

فحلت لبة السده

I strung their heads into a necklace,

I have strung their heads into a necklace,

so they adorned the gateway’s breast.

So the lion's throat is adorned.
