بلادٌa land قدindeed حَوَتhas encompassed كلّall الأمانيwishes
بلادٌ قد حَوَت كلّ الأماني
نبيتُwe spend the night بهاin it ونُصبحُand we greet the morning فيin أمانِsafety
نبيتُ بها ونُصبحُ في أمانِ
A land that holds all one could wish for;
We spend the night there and wake in safety.
هيit البلدُthe land الأمينُsecure فليسso not نخشىwe fear
هي البلدُ الأمينُ فليس نخشى
بهاin it ظُلماًinjustice سوىexcept جورِcruelty الغوانيthe beautiful women
بها ظُلماً سوى جورِ الغواني
It is the secure land, so we do not fear
Injustice there, save the cruelty of beauties.
حدائقُهاits gardens منamong الروضاتِthe meadows حسناًin beauty
حدائقُها من الروضاتِ حسناً
هيthey الفِردَوسُParadise منfrom بينamong الجنانِthe gardens
هي الفِردَوسُ من بين الجنانِ
In beauty, its gardens are to the meadows
What Paradise is among the gardens.
وبُقعتُهاand its region منwithin الدنياthe world جميعاًas a whole
وبُقعتُها من الدنيا جميعاً
بمنزلةِin the position of الربيعspring منwithin الزمانِtime
بمنزلةِ الربيع من الزمانِ
And its region, in the world as a whole,
Holds the place that spring holds in time.
وكَوثَرُهاand its Kawthar stream علىover الحصباءthe pebbles يجرىflows
وكَوثَرُها على الحصباء يجرى
كذَوبِlike molten التبرraw gold سالflowed علىover الجمانِthe pearls
كذَوبِ التبر سال على الجمانِ
And its Kawthar flows over the pebbles,
Like molten gold flowing over pearls.
إذاwhen صدَحَتsing out بلابلُهاits nightingales أجابتanswer
إذا صدَحَت بلابلُها أجابت
كواكبُهاits stars بأنوارِwith the lights of الحسانِthe beauties
كواكبُها بأنوارِ الحسانِ
When its nightingales sing out, they are answered
By its stars, with the radiance of beauties.
