And a young gazelle—his face has fettered minds,
And a fawn whose face is a fetter on minds,
and his temple-lock is a chain for the free.
And whose temple-lock is a chain for thoughts.

His beauty mark is the heart’s darling to whomever it appears;
His beauty mark is a heart’s kernel; since it appeared,
because of it, their very innards go mad with black bile.
The inward parts have gone mad over it with black bile.
