ولاand no خيرَgood فيمنin one who غَيَّرَchanged البُعْدُdistance قلبَهhis heart
ولا خيرَ فيمن غَيَّرَ البُعْدُ قلبَه
ولاnor فيin وِدادٍaffection غَيَّرتْهchanged it العَوامِلُthe circumstances
ولا في وِدادٍ غَيَّرتْه العَوامِلُ
And there is no good in one whose heart distance has changed,
No good in one whom distance changed his heart,
nor in affection altered by circumstances.
Nor in a love that circumstances did transform.
