إذا قَطَرِيُّ جاءَني مَرجَحَنَّةً
فَشِبهَهُthen liken him الراؤوفَthe compassionate one فيin اللَيلِthe night كَوكَباa star
فَشِبهَهُ الراؤوفَ في اللَيلِ كَوكَبا
When Qaṭarī comes to me, swaying heavily,
If a Qatari comes to me on a swing,
then liken him, the compassionate one, to a star in the night.
Then his similarity at night is like a star
