وَماand not كُلُّevery حينٍtime يَصدُقُproves true المَرءُa man ظَنُّهُhis expectation
وَما كُلُّ حينٍ يَصدُقُ المَرءُ ظَنُّهُ
وَلاand not كُلُّevery أَصحابِpeople engaged in التِجارَةِtrade يَربَحُmakes a profit
وَلا كُلُّ أَصحابِ التِجارَةِ يَربَحُ
And a man's expectation does not always prove true,
Not every time does man's guess prove true,
Nor does every merchant make a profit.
Nor every merchant gains by what he does.
