كَأَنَّas though مَساحِقَwithered remnants الغِرقَيِّof the ghirqayy plant فيهاwithin it
كَأَنَّ مَساحِقَ الغِرقَيِّ فيها
مَلاحِفَmantles شَبَّهاbrightened them وَرسٌwars (a yellow dye) مَدوفُmixed with water
مَلاحِفَ شَبَّها وَرسٌ مَدوفُ
As though the withered remnants of ghirqayy within it
As though the drowned one's powders in it
Were mantles brightened by wars dye mixed with water.
Are like sheets, and a buried man
