وَماذاand what غَيرَother than أَنَّكَthat you are ذوpossessed of سِبالٍwhiskers
وَماذا غَيرَ أَنَّكَ ذو سِبالٍ
تُمَسِّحُهاyou stroke them وَذوand possessed of حَسبٍlineage حَنيفِcrooked
تُمَسِّحُها وَذو حَسبٍ حَنيفِ
And what are you but a man with whiskers
What else but that you are of noble roots,
that you stroke, and a crooked pedigree?
Wiping them clean, of upright pedigree
