أسمَعتَyou made someone hear غيرَnot كهامdull السمعِof hearing والبصرand sight
أسمَعتَ غيرَ كهام السمعِ والبصر
لاnot يقطَعcuts السيفُthe sword إلاexcept فيin يدthe hand الحَذِرِthe vigilant one
لا يقطَع السيفُ إلا في يد الحَذِرِ
You have addressed one not dull of hearing or sight.
You hear more than ears of hearing and sight
The sword cuts only in the hand of the vigilant.
My sword cuts not but in the hand of caution
سيُصبحُwill become القومُthe people منthrough سيفيmy sword وضارِبِهِand its wielder
سيُصبحُ القومُ من سيفي وضارِبِهِ
مثلَlike الهشيمdry stubble ذَرَتهscattered it الريحُthe wind بالمطَرِwith the rain
مثلَ الهشيم ذَرَته الريحُ بالمطَرِ
Through my sword and its wielder, the people will become
The people by my sword and him who wields it
like dry stubble scattered by the wind with the rain.
