فَضَحتُمyou have disgraced قُرَيشاًQuraysh بِالفِرارِby fleeing وَأَنتُمُwhile you are
فَضَحتُم قُرَيشاً بِالفِرارِ وَأَنتُمُ
قُمُدّونَstout men سودانٌblack-skinned عِظامُmassive المَناكِبِshoulders
قُمُدّونَ سودانٌ عِظامُ المَناكِبِ
You have disgraced Quraysh by fleeing, though you are
You disgraced the Quraysh through fleeing while you are
Stout, black-skinned men with massive shoulders.
Black pillars, bare bones of shoulders.
فَأَمّاso, as for القِتالُfighting لاno قِتالَfighting لَديكُمُin you
فَأَمّا القِتالُ لا قِتالَ لَديكُمُ
وَلَكِنَّand yet سَيراًmarching فيin عِراضِthe midst of المَواكِبِthe processions
وَلَكِنَّ سَيراً في عِراضِ المَواكِبِ
As for fighting, there is no fight in you,
But as for battle, you have no battle,
But only marching amid the processions.
Rather, walking in the camel litters' paddocks.
