قُلتُ لِلرَّنَّةِ لَمّا أَقبَلَت
كُلُّevery شيءٍthing ما(with خلا) except خَلاexcluding عَمراًʿAmr جَلَلtrivial
كُلُّ شيءٍ ما خَلا عَمراً جَلَل
I said to the wail when it came:
I said to the soft sand when she stole against me:
Everything except ʿAmr is trivial.
“Everything is gone except eternal life.”
