And we are a people whose shouts the horses know,
And we are people whom horses know our battle cries

And we surely grant fair treatment to one who, were we to wrong him,
And we give half to one whose grievance we would redress
would acquiesce; and we reject the haughtiness of one complaining of injustice.
Whether he concedes or spurns the nobility of the oppressed
