Indeed, when the young manage affairs,
When events are handled without the elders' care
Indeed, when affairs are managed by the young
without the elders, you see flaws in some of them.
You'll see some flaw appear here and there
Without the elders, you will witness flaws therein;

وَلِلشُيوخ أَناة تدفع الزللا
Indeed, the young are hasty in their affairs,
The youth are hasty when it comes to affairs
For the youth are possessed of haste in their dealings,
and the elders have patience that wards off missteps.
While elders have prudence that faults repairs
While elders have a deliberation that wards off error.
