إِذاif ماemphatic particle ماتَdies بَعضُكa part of you فابكِthen weep for بَعضاًa part
إِذا ما ماتَ بَعضُك فابكِ بَعضاً
فانّfor indeed البعضone part منto بَعضٍanother part قَريبclose
فانّ البعض من بَعضٍ قَريب
If a part of you dies, weep for that part,
For one part is close to another.
يمنّينيpromises me الطَبيبُthe physician شِفاءًhealing عَينيmy eye
يمنّيني الطَبيبُ شِفاءً عَيني
وَهَلand is there غَيرُother than الإِلَهِGod لَهاfor it طَبيبa physician
وَهَل غَيرُ الإِلَهِ لَها طَبيب
The physician promises me healing for my eye,
And does it have any physician other than God?
