لأنَّكَ تُعطيني الجَزيل بَداهَةً

لأنَّكَ تُعطيني الجَزيل بَداهَةً

وَأَنتَ لما اِستَكثَرتَ مِن ذاك حاقِرُ

وَأَنتَ لما اِستَكثَرتَ مِن ذاك حاقِرُ

Because you give me lavish bounty unprompted,

For you give me abundant freely

For you bestow the abundant gift instinctively,

Yet you deem paltry the amount of it you have reckoned abundant.

Yet you belittle that which you have given

And you deem as insignificant that which is vast.
