Whoever has seen what I have seen

    has indeed triumphed by looking.

    لهما تسجد الصُّور

    Two forms revealed themselves;

before them, all forms prostrate themselves.

I said, when I saw that

one and this one, as fate decreed:

    Have Zulaikha and Yusuf

indeed been brought back among humankind?

Or, as portents of the Hour,

have the sun and moon been brought together?

So if I were free to choose,

I would be bewildered among the choices.

I desire this one; I love this one.

That one is my hearing, and this one my sight.
