Pearly in hue, with a tinge within it
Ruby colored its hue is imbued
of wine's redness mingling with milk.
With the red of wine mingled with milk
كاللؤلؤlike the pearl الرطبmoist لونُcolor ظاهِرِهِits exterior
كاللؤلؤ الرطب لونُ ظاهِرِهِ
وفيهand in it ماءsheen العقيقthe carnelian قدhas بَطَناlain hidden
وفيه ماء العقيق قد بَطَنا
Its outer hue is like a moist pearl,
Like a moist pearl its outward appearance
and within it the sheen of carnelian lies hidden.
