في روضةٍ محفوفةٍ بحدائقِ
O you whose face’s gardens take us strolling
O You who purifies us, gardens of his face,
In a meadow surrounded by gardens.
In an orchard surrounded by gardens.

في الحُسن بين مغاربٍ ومشارِق
It is as though it were a celestial sphere, turning our eyes
It is as though it is a sphere rotating our eyes,
Through beauty, between western and eastern horizons.
In beauty between sunsets and sunrises.

وكأنَّ حاجبَه مُطَرَّرُ باسِقِ
And his cheek seems a sheet of precious stone,
As though his cheek is a plate of gem,
And his eyebrow a sparrowhawk’s fringed plume.
As though his eyebrow is dripping with rain.
