كلُّ الأمور فميسورٌ ومعسورُ

كلُّ الأمور فميسورٌ ومعسورُ

تجري به قدم تسعى ومقدورُ

تجري به قدم تسعى ومقدورُ

All affairs are either easy or difficult;

All matters are easy or difficult

A striving foot and decreed fate carry it onward.

Guided by a foot that strives and has capacity

والخير والشرُّ مقرونانِ في قَرَنٍ

والخير والشرُّ مقرونانِ في قَرَنٍ

فالخير مُتّبعٌ والشرُّ محذورُ

فالخير مُتّبعٌ والشرُّ محذورُ

And good and evil are bound together in a single tether;

Goodness and evil are paired in one vessel

So good is followed, and evil is avoided.

So goodness is pursued and evil avoided
