تملك مهجتي ودمي وحازا
A fair one, unmatched in beauty,
None can compare in beauty, he has won
Took possession of my soul and blood and made them his.
My heart and soul, his prize forevermore.

فجازاني بأحسن ما يُجازي
I offered him affection from my heart,
I gave to him my true devotion whole,
So he repaid me with the finest recompense.
And he repaid me with the sweetest love.

وقد نُفِل الجمالُ لها جهازا
A bride of beauty, unveiled before us,
A bride of beauty shone before our eyes,
And beauty was bestowed upon her as a trousseau.
Adorned with graces as her wedding gift.

وقد جُعِل النهارُ لها طِرازا
The gauzy robes of her cheek were dyed with roses,
Her cheeks were dyed as with a rose's hue,
And daylight was made her embroidered trim.
The light of day itself her ornament.
