يا مَن بكى عند العِتا
بِcompletion of “reproach” لفَزعِهِbecause of his fear منof قارِفِهthe one who delivered it
بِ لفَزعِهِ من قارِفِه
O you who wept at reproach,
O you who wept at misdeeds
out of fear of the one who delivered it,
Out of fear of their committer
غَطَّيتَyou hid ذنبَكyour sin بالبُكاwith weeping
غَطَّيتَ ذنبَك بالبُكا
عنّيfrom me فلستُso I am not بعارِفِهaware of it
عنّي فلستُ بعارِفِه
You hid your sin with tears
You have covered your sin with tears
from me, so I do not know it.
As for me, I know it not
