1. أتى وثيابه كقتير شيبٍ

    فعُدن له كريعان الشبابِ

    He came, his clothes like the first flecks of gray hair.

    Then they became for him like the bloom of youth.

  2. فقلتُ متى أراك أبا حسينٍ

    فجاوبني إذا اتَّسخت ثيابي

    So I said, “When shall I see you, Abu Husayn?”

    He answered me, “When my clothes get dirty.”
