In the surah 'The Poets,' my excuse is clear.
In Surat Ash-Shu'ara is my clear excuse
And what the revealed Book has stated suffices.
And the revelation of the Book sufficeth

وَلربَّ عذر واضح لا يَقبَل
But I see you inclined toward reproach,
But I see you inclining towards blame
and many a clear excuse goes unaccepted.
And many a clear excuse is not accepted
تَبغيyou want لِيَفعلthat he should do شاعرa poet ماwhat قالَهُhe said it
تَبغي لِيَفعل شاعر ما قالَهُ
وَاللَهُand God قالَsaid يَقولhe says ماwhat لاnot يَفعلhe does
وَاللَهُ قالَ يَقول ما لا يَفعل
You want a poet to do what he has said,
You want a poet to do what he said
and God has said: he says what he does not do.
While Allah said "He says what he does not do"
