وَأَنَكُم في نَشرِكُم لِعيوبِنا

وَطَيكُم ما أَنتُمُ بسبيله

And you, in broadcasting our faults,

And indeed you, in publicizing our faults,

and concealing what you yourselves are engaged in,

and concealing what you yourselves are engaged in,

كَأَعمى اِغتَدى مِمَن بِهِ دَل ساخِراً

كَأَعمى اِغتَدى مِمَن بِهِ دَل ساخِراً

فَأَعِجب بِأَعمى ساخِرٍ بِدَليله

فَأَعِجب بِأَعمى ساخِرٍ بِدَليله

are like a blind man who set out mocking the one who guided him;

are like a blind man who set out in the morning mocking the one who guided him.

so marvel at a blind man mocking his own guide!

يا خُشارة الآباء

يا خُشارة الآباء

وَحُشراتِ البرّ وَالدَأماء

وَحُشراتِ البرّ وَالدَأماء

O scum of your forefathers,

O dregs of fathers,

and vermin of land and sea!

and vermin of the land and sea!
