بُشرىglad tidings الممالكِthe kingdoms فتحُconquest قلعةِfortress منبجٍManbij
بُشرى الممالكِ فتحُ قلعةِ منبجٍ
فلْيَهْنِso let him hail هذاthis النصرَthe victory كلُّevery متوَّجِcrowned ruler
فلْيَهْنِ هذا النصرَ كلُّ متوَّجِ
Glad tidings for the kingdoms: the conquest of Manbij's fortress!
Good tidings, the conquest of Manbij's fortress
So let every crowned ruler hail this victory.
Let this victory delight every crowned king
أُعطيتَyou were given هذاthis الفتحthe conquest مفتاحاًas a key بهwith it
أُعطيتَ هذا الفتح مفتاحاً به
فيin الملكdominion يَفتحُopens كلَّevery بابٍgate مُرتجbolted
في الملك يَفتحُ كلَّ بابٍ مُرتج
You were given this conquest as a key, by which
You were given this conquest, a key with which
every bolted gate of dominion is opened.
To open in the kingdom every locked gate
وافىit arrived يبشِّرُheralding بالفتوحof the conquests وراءَهُafter it
وافى يبشِّرُ بالفتوح وراءَهُ
فانهضْso march إليهاtoward them بالجيوشِwith the armies وعرِّجِand turn aside
فانهضْ إليها بالجيوشِ وعرِّجِ
It has come, heralding conquests in its wake;
A bringer of good tidings of conquests behind him
so march toward them with the armies, and bend your course.
So arise to them with armies and meander
أبشرْrejoice فبيتfor the House القدسof holiness يتلوfollows منبجاًManbij
أبشرْ فبيت القدس يتلو منبجاً
ولَمنبجٌand indeed Manbij لسواهُfor others besides it كالأنموذجِlike a model
ولَمنبجٌ لسواهُ كالأنموذجِ
Rejoice, for Jerusalem will follow Manbij;
Good tidings, for after Manbij shall come Bayt Al-Maqdis
and indeed Manbij is a model for the rest.
And for other than it Manbij is but an exemplar
ماnot أَعجزتكَthwarted you الشُّهبthe bright stars فيin أبراجهاtheir celestial towers
ما أَعجزتكَ الشُّهب في أبراجها
طلباًin pursuit فكيفَso how خوارجٌrebels فيin أَبرُجِtowers
طلباً فكيفَ خوارجٌ في أَبرُجِ
The bright stars in their celestial towers could not thwart you
The shooting stars in its towers could not hinder you
in your pursuit; how, then, could rebels in towers?
Seeking thus how can dissenters in towers hinder you
ولَقَدرُand indeed the worth مَنْwhoever يعصيكَdisobeys you أَحقرُtoo insignificant أَنto يرىsee
ولَقَدرُ مَنْ يعصيكَ أَحقرُ أَن يرى
أَثرَa trace العبوسfrowning بوجهكَon your face المتبلِّجِradiant
أَثرَ العبوس بوجهكَ المتبلِّجِ
And whoever defies you is surely of too little worth to see
And the worth of one who disobeys you is too paltry to see
a trace of a frown upon your radiant face.
The frown's trace on your cheerful face
لكنْbut تُهذِّبُyou discipline مَنْwhoever عصاكَdisobeyed you سياسةًthrough statecraft
لكنْ تُهذِّبُ مَنْ عصاكَ سياسةً
فيin ضمنهاits scope تقويمُstraightening كلِّevery مُعوَّجِcrooked thing
في ضمنها تقويمُ كلِّ مُعوَّجِ
Yet you discipline whoever has disobeyed you through statecraft,
But you discipline whoever disobeyed you wisely
which includes setting right all that is crooked.
Within it straightening of every crooked one
فانهدْso advance إلىtoward البيتِthe House المقدَّسِholy غازياًwaging war
فانهدْ إلى البيتِ المقدَّسِ غازياً
وعلىand to طرابلسٍTripoli ونابلسٍand Nablus عُجِturn aside
وعلى طرابلسٍ ونابلسٍ عُجِ
So advance upon the Holy House, waging war,
So march to the Holy House, a raider
and turn aside to Tripoli and Nablus.
And against Tripoli and Nablus surge
قدindeed سرتَyou conducted yourself فيin الإسلامIslam أَحسنَthe finest سيرةconduct
قد سرتَ في الإسلام أَحسنَ سيرة
مأْثورةٍhanded down وسلكتَand you trod أَوضحَthe clearest منهجِpath
مأْثورةٍ وسلكتَ أَوضحَ منهجِ
You have followed in Islam the finest course
You have walked the best walk in Islam
handed down, and have trodden the clearest path.
An inherited, illuminated methodology you have treaded
وجميعand all ماthat which استقريتَyou sought out مِنof سُنَنways الهُدىguidance
وجميع ما استقريتَ مِن سُنَن الهُدى
جَدَّدْتَyou renewed منهof it كلَّevery رسمٍtrace مُبهجِgladdening
جَدَّدْتَ منه كلَّ رسمٍ مُبهجِ
And all the ways of guidance you have sought out—
And all the enactments of guidance you have established
you have renewed every gladdening trace of them.
You have renewed each one, gladdening
