بانقيادي لمرادكْ

بانقيادي لمرادكْ

وبِصدقي في وِدادِكْ

وبِصدقي في وِدادِكْ

By my submission to your wish,

and by my sincerity in loving you,

وبُسقياكَ من الحِف

وبُسقياكَ من الحِف

ظِ عُهودي بعهادِكْ

ظِ عُهودي بعهادِكْ

and by your faithful watering

of my pledges with your showers:

لا تحمِّلْ قلبيَ المش

لا تحمِّلْ قلبيَ المش

تاقَ أَثقالَ بعادِكْ

تاقَ أَثقالَ بعادِكْ

do not load my yearning heart

with the burdens of your absence.

ما على الوجدِ فؤادي

ما على الوجدِ فؤادي

صابراً مثل فؤادِكْ

صابراً مثل فؤادِكْ

My heart is not, in love's anguish,

as patient as your heart.

ولقد أَضحى على رُغ

ولقد أَضحى على رُغ

مِ العدا طَوْعَ قيادِكْ

مِ العدا طَوْعَ قيادِكْ

And indeed it has become, despite

the foes, obedient to your rein.

واعتقادي في وِدادي

واعتقادي في وِدادي

ك صحيحٌ كاعتقادِكْ

ك صحيحٌ كاعتقادِكْ

And my conviction in my love

for you is sound, as is yours.

واعتضادي بكَ في كُ

واعتضادي بكَ في كُ

لِّ المعاني كاعتضادِكْ

لِّ المعاني كاعتضادِكْ

And my reliance on you in every

matter is like yours.

لَبِّ مَنْ لو لم يُؤمِّلْ

لَبِّ مَنْ لو لم يُؤمِّلْ

منكَ عُرْفاً لم يُنادِكْ

منكَ عُرْفاً لم يُنادِكْ

Answer one who, had he not hoped

for kindness from you, would not have called you.

وأَصِبْ مَرمَى مرامي

وأَصِبْ مَرمَى مرامي

فمُرادي من مُرادِكْ

فمُرادي من مُرادِكْ

And strike the target of my aims,

for my desire comes from yours.

واعتمدْ ما يُحرزُ الدَّهْ

واعتمدْ ما يُحرزُ الدَّهْ

رُ به شكرَ عمادِكْ

رُ به شكرَ عمادِكْ

And undertake that whereby Time

may preserve the gratitude of your Imad.

أَجْرِه في بعثِكَ الكُت

أَجْرِه في بعثِكَ الكُت

بَ على مشكورِ عادِكْ

بَ على مشكورِ عادِكْ

Treat him, in sending letters,

according to your praiseworthy custom.
