نضرُ الحياة فأين عنها نعزف
Indeed, fair women are a garden whose sweet basil is
The songs are a garden, their fragrance
the bloom of life—how, then, could we turn away from it?
Makes life bloom, so why should we turn from them?

دنيا نلذُّ بها ولا نتصرفُ
Were it not for their beauty, we would have no
Without their saltiness there would be for us
world to delight in, nor would we move about.
No world we could savor or call our own.
