عَلَيَّtoward me وأنِّيand that I لاَdo not أَصُولُassail بِجَاهِلِagainst an insolent man
My forbearance weakens me, as does their great insolence
Their abundant ignorance and my dream weaken me,
Toward me, and the fact that I do not assail an insolent man.
And that I do not contend with an ignorant person.
دَفَعْتُكُمُI repelled you عَنِّيfrom me وَمَاand not دَفْعُthe thrust of رَاحَةٍa palm

I have repelled you from me, but a palm's thrust
I repelled you from me, but repelling is not restful,
Is worth nothing unless it seeks aid from the fingertips.
With anything, if you do not seek help from your fingers.
