أتيتك في أمر من أمر عشيرتي

أتيتك في أمر من أمر عشيرتي

وأعيا الأمور المفظعات جسيمها

I have come to you about a matter concerning my clan;

I come to you with a matter of my tribe

and the most trying of dreadful matters is the gravest of them.

And the matters are grave and quite dire

فإن قلت لي في حاجتي أنا فاعل

فإن قلت لي في حاجتي أنا فاعل

فقد ثلجت نفسي وولت همومها

فقد ثلجت نفسي وولت همومها

So if you say to me regarding my request, “I will do it,”

If you say you will fulfill my request

then my soul will find cool relief, and its worries will flee.

You will gladden my soul and relieve its plight
