قَدْindeed أخَذَtook المُسْلِمُونَthe Muslims عَكاًAcre
قَدْ أخَذَ المُسْلِمُونَ عَكاً
وَأَشْبَعواand they sated الكافِرِينَthe unbelievers صَكاwith blows
وَأَشْبَعوا الكافِرِينَ صَكا
The Muslims have indeed taken Acre,
And given the unbelievers their fill of blows.
وساقَand drove سُلْطَانُنَاour sultan إلَيْهِمْtoward them
وساقَ سُلْطَانُنَا إلَيْهِمْ
خَيْلاًhorses تَدُّكُّpound الجِبَالَthe mountains دَكَّاto rubble
خَيْلاً تَدُّكُّ الجِبَالَ دَكَّا
And our sultan drove toward them
Horses that pound the mountains to rubble.
وَأَقْسَمَand swore التُّرْكُthe Turks مِنْذُsince سارَتْthe horses set out
وَأَقْسَمَ التُّرْكُ مِنْذُ سارَتْ
لاnot تَرَكُواthey would leave لِلْفُرَنجِfor the Franks مُلْكاdominion
لا تَرَكُوا لِلْفُرَنجِ مُلْكا
And the Turks swore, from the moment the horses set out,
They would leave the Franks no dominion.
