He nearly melts with longing when you are mentioned,
He almost melts when they mention you, from yearning
Yearning toward you; through your rank, might he be brought near?
For you—can your rank bring him near to you?

Perhaps compassion—perhaps relief—is near:
Perhaps kindness—perhaps deliverance is near!
The beloved ones have arrived, while we remain cut off.
The loved ones have arrived, while we remain cut off.

Honor us by treading the soil of a land
Honor us by letting us tread the dust of a land
Whose visitation lifts the burden of sin from us.
Through whose visitation the burden of sin is lifted from us.

Stand by all my brothers and companions,
Include every father and son, whatever their lineage.
And include fathers and sons among my kin.

No man who hopes in you, O star, will fail
No man loses who hopes in you as a star
In his plea, so long as he thinks well of you.
For his quest, and thinks well of you.

All the prophets are full moons of guidance,
All the prophets are full moons of guidance,
But you are the sun—the brightest and most exalted.
And you are the sun, their brightest and most radiant.

They are your left hand, and you are the right.
They are your left hand, and you are the right.

Upon you be your Lord's blessing, so long as

Doves coo in the thickets or a bough bends.
