يا خالقَ الخلقِ حملتَ الورى
لمّأwhen طغىoverflowed الماءُthe water علىجارِيَهْupon a sailing vessel
لمّأ طغى الماءُ علىجارِيَهْ
O Creator of creation, You carried humankind
O Creator of creation, You carried the world
when the water overflowed, aboard a sailing vessel.
When the water overflowed its banks,
وعبدُكand Your servant الآنَnow طغىhas overflowed ماؤُهُhis water (semen)
وعبدُك الآنَ طغى ماؤُهُ
فيin الصُّلبthe loins فاحملْهُso carry him علىupon جارِيَهْa maidservant
في الصُّلب فاحملْهُ على جارِيَهْ
And now Your servant's water has overflowed
And now Your servant's water has overflowed
in his loins—so carry him upon a maidservant.
In the loins, so carry it back to its banks.
