لمdid not يبكِweep مَخلوقٌa creature لمقتلِover the slaying of أَحمدٍAhmad
لم يبكِ مَخلوقٌ لمقتلِ أَحمدٍ
لاno غَروَwonder منهُat it فذاكَfor that أَحمدُmost praiseworthy مَقْتَلِslaying
لا غَروَ منهُ فذاكَ أَحمدُ مَقْتَلِ
No creature wept over Ahmad’s slaying.
No creature wept at Ahmed's death
No wonder at that, for that was the most praiseworthy slaying.
Except the one who killed Ahmed, that was his death
أظهرتُI revealed بعدَafter مماتِهِhis death مَقْتيmy hatred لَهُfor him
أظهرتُ بعدَ مماتِهِ مَقْتي لَهُ
إذْsince كانَhe was يُضمرُconcealing فيin الحياةِlife المقْتَhatred ليfor me
إذْ كانَ يُضمرُ في الحياةِ المقْتَ لي
After his death, I revealed my hatred for him,
After he died I showed my hatred for him
For in life he had concealed his hatred for me.
Since while alive he had hidden his intent to kill me
