واتّفاقٍand a union حَسَنٍlovely أَلْbeginning of 'reunited'
واتّفاقٍ حَسَنٍ أَلْ
لَفَcompletion of 'reunited' شملاًa gathering قدhad تبدَّدْdispersed
لَفَ شملاً قد تبدَّدْ
And a lovely union that re-
An auspicious accord once
united a gathering that had dispersed;
United a family now scattered
واعتناقand an embrace ضيّقٍtight يوbeginning of 'makes you imagine'
واعتناق ضيّقٍ يو
همُكَcompletion of 'makes you imagine' المَمْزوجَthe mingled مُفردْone
همُكَ المَمْزوجَ مُفردْ
And a tight embrace that makes
In a tight embrace this day
you imagine the mingled to be one.
