أفديI would give my life for الذيthe one who سادَsurpassed الحسانَthe beautiful ones ملاحةًin loveliness
أفدي الذي سادَ الحسانَ ملاحةً
حتىuntil تواضعَhumbled themselves كلهمall of them لسيادتهْbefore his supremacy
حتى تواضعَ كلهم لسيادتهْ
I would give my life for him who surpassed the fair in loveliness,
I ransom the one who excelled in beauty and charm
until they all humbled themselves before his supremacy.
Until all bowed to his supremacy
ضاجعتُهI lay with him والوردُand the roses تحتَbeneath لحافهِhis blanket
ضاجعتُه والوردُ تحتَ لحافهِ
ولثمتُهand I kissed him والبدرُand the full moon فوقَabove وسادتهْhis pillow
ولثمتُه والبدرُ فوقَ وسادتهْ
I lay with him, the roses beneath his blanket,
I lay with him, roses beneath his sheets
and kissed him, the full moon above his pillow.
I kissed him, the full moon above his pillow
