وعَمُّكَ أدناهُ وأعلى مَحلّهُ

وعَمُّكَ أدناهُ وأعلى مَحلّهُ

وبوَأَهُ من مُلكه كَنَفاً رَحْبا

وبوَأَهُ من مُلكه كَنَفاً رَحْبا

And your uncle brought him near and raised his station,

And your uncle raised him high and low

and lodged him in a spacious refuge within his kingdom.

And gave him a spacious place in his kingdom

قَض كُلُّ مولىً منكُمُ حقَّ عبدهِ

قَض كُلُّ مولىً منكُمُ حقَّ عبدهِ

فخوَّلَهُ الدُّنيا وخوَّلْتَهُ العُقبى

فخوَّلَهُ الدُّنيا وخوَّلْتَهُ العُقبى

Each master among you paid his servant his due;

Every master among you has fulfilled his servant's right

so he granted him this world, and you granted him the hereafter.

So he gave him the world, and you gave him the hereafter
