خَرجوا لِيَستَسقوا فَقُلتُ لَهُم قِفوا

خَرجوا لِيَستَسقوا فَقُلتُ لَهُم قِفوا

إِن رُمتُمُ مَطَراً بِغَيرِ سَماءِ

They went out to pray for rain, so I said to them, “Stop,

قالوا أَجَلّ فَفي دُموعِك غُنيَةٌ

لَكِنَّها مَمزوجَةٌ بِدِماءِ

لَكِنَّها مَمزوجَةٌ بِدِماءِ

They said, “Yes, for your tears suffice,

Yes indeed, in your tears lies abundance,

but they are mingled with blood.”

Although it's mixed with blood that made them cry."
