تَمَّwas completed البِناءُthe construction وَاِنتَظَمand was set in order
تَمَّ البِناءُ وَاِنتَظَم
بِحَمدِwith praise to مَنthe One who أَسدىbestowed النِعَمthe blessings
بِحَمدِ مَن أَسدى النِعَم
The building is complete and beautifully ordered,
The construction was completed and set in order,
with praise to Him who bestowed these blessings.

لبنيَةٍfor a structure كَأَنَّهاas though it were
لبنيَةٍ كَأَنَّها
ثَغرُmouth مُحِبٍّa lover مُبتَسمsmiling
ثَغرُ مُحِبٍّ مُبتَسم
For a little building—as though it were
for a structure that is like
the smiling mouth of a lover.

تُسكَنُis inhabited مَعwith سَعادَةٍhappiness
تُسكَنُ مَع سَعادَةٍ
وَجَمعٍand a gathering أَهلِpeople of الكَرَمgenerosity
وَجَمعٍ أَهلِ الكَرَم
May it be inhabited in happiness,
May it be inhabited amid happiness
amid a company of generous souls,
and a gathering of generous people,
بِالمُصطَفىthrough the Chosen One وَآلِهِand his family
بِالمُصطَفى وَآلِهِ
وَصَحبِهِand his Companions أَهلِpeople of الكَرَمgenerosity
وَصَحبِهِ أَهلِ الكَرَم
by the grace of the Chosen One and his family,
through the Chosen One and his family
and his Companions, people of noble bounty.

أَرّخrecord the date لَهاfor it تَمامُهاits completion
أَرّخ لَها تَمامُها
فيin رَجَبِRajab الفَردِthe solitary الأَصَمthe deaf
في رَجَبِ الفَردِ الأَصَم

in Rajab, the Peerless, the Deaf.
