وَما لَكِ ذا المَجموعِ واضِعِ خَطِّهِ

وَما لَكِ ذا المَجموعِ واضِعِ خَطِّهِ

مُحَمَّدٍ المَدعوّ في الناسِ بِالباجي

مُحَمَّدٍ المَدعوّ في الناسِ بِالباجي

And what is this collection to you, its script penned by

Why hast thou drawn together this assembly,

Muhammad, known among the people as al-Baji?

Muhammad, known among men as Al-Baji,

أَتاحَ لَهُ اللَهُ السَعادَةَ دائِماً

أَتاحَ لَهُ اللَهُ السَعادَةَ دائِماً

فَما زالَ يا ذا الفَضلِ بالطامِعِ الراجي

فَما زالَ يا ذا الفَضلِ بالطامِعِ الراجي

May God grant him happiness always,

Whom God has granted everlasting felicity -

For he remains, O possessor of grace, longing and hopeful.

So he ceased not, O man of merit, being wishful and hopeful.
