بِناءٌ أَنيقٌ أَينَ أَينَ مُقارِبُهُ

بِناءٌ أَنيقٌ أَينَ أَينَ مُقارِبُهُ

تَمامٌ عَلى ما كانَ أَحسَن صاحِبُه

تَمامٌ عَلى ما كانَ أَحسَن صاحِبُه

An elegant building—where, where is its equal?

A graceful edifice, where is its peer?

A completion of what its owner had made so beautiful.

Perfect in all that befitted its maker.

وَحِصنٌ لِهَذي الأَحمَديَّة مانِعٌ

وَحِصنٌ لِهَذي الأَحمَديَّة مانِعٌ

أَتى بابَهُ مِن حُسنِهِ ما يُناسِبُه

أَتى بابَهُ مِن حُسنِهِ ما يُناسِبُه

And an impregnable fortress for this Ahmadiyya,

A fortress for this Ahmadiya, an impregnable defense,

Its gate received beauty befitting it.

Whose beauty drew one to its gate in harmony.

وَعُدَّةُ حَربٍ في خَزائِنَ عدّةٍ

وَعُدَّةُ حَربٍ في خَزائِنَ عدّةٍ

تَبَدَّت كَما قَد نَظَّمَ العقدَ صاحِبُه

تَبَدَّت كَما قَد نَظَّمَ العقدَ صاحِبُه

And war equipment in several storehouses

The tools of war in storehouses of plenty,

Was displayed like a necklace strung by its owner.

Arranged as a necklace by its fastener.

حَبا الصادِقُ الباشا المُشيرُ جُنودَهُ

حَبا الصادِقُ الباشا المُشيرُ جُنودَهُ

بِما زادَهُ فيها وَزادَت مَناقِبُه

بِما زادَهُ فيها وَزادَت مَناقِبُه

Al-Sadiq Pasha, the Marshal, endowed his troops

Beloved of the truthful Pasha and counselor of armies

With what he added there, and his merits increased.

With what he added to it, his virtues increased.

لَئِن فاتَهُ تأسيسُها إِنَّ هَذِهِ

لَئِن فاتَهُ تأسيسُها إِنَّ هَذِهِ

خَبايا زَمانٍ وَهيَ إِحدى عَجائِبه

خَبايا زَمانٍ وَهيَ إِحدى عَجائِبه

Though its founding passed him by, these are indeed

Though founding it eluded him, such is

The secrets of time, and it is one of its wonders.

The mystery of time, and one of its wonders.

وَأَلهَمَها المَولى الكَريمُ كَرامَةً

وَأَلهَمَها المَولى الكَريمُ كَرامَةً

لهمَّة قَرمٍ لِلمَعالي تُجاذِبُه

لهمَّة قَرمٍ لِلمَعالي تُجاذِبُه

And the generous Lord inspired it as an honor

And the Generous Master inspired in it honor

For a noble chief's resolve, which draws him toward the heights.

For the aspiration of Qaram to seek the heights.

وَكانَت كَمثل العقد حُسناً وَهَذِهِ

وَكانَت كَمثل العقد حُسناً وَهَذِهِ

كَدُرّته الغَرا فَتَمّ تَناسُبُه

كَدُرّته الغَرا فَتَمّ تَناسُبُه

And it was like a necklace in beauty, while this was

It was as lovely as a necklace, and this

Like its radiant pearl; thus its harmony became complete.

Its pearl, completing its harmony.

فَقُل رَبِّ أَيِّد سَعيَهُ بإعانَة

فَقُل رَبِّ أَيِّد سَعيَهُ بإعانَة

تُسَرّ بِها أَجنادُهُ وَكَتائِبُه

تُسَرّ بِها أَجنادُهُ وَكَتائِبُه

So say: My Lord, strengthen his endeavor with aid

Say: Lord, aid his effort with support

By which his troops and his battalions are gladdened.

That gladdens his troops and regiments.

وَأَيِّدهُ بِالنَصرِ العَزيز لأُمَّةٍ

وَأَيِّدهُ بِالنَصرِ العَزيز لأُمَّةٍ

تُناجي بِهَذا رَبَّها وَتُخاطِبُه

تُناجي بِهَذا رَبَّها وَتُخاطِبُه

And strengthen him with mighty victory, for a nation

And aid him with mighty victory for a nation

That thus communes with its Lord and addresses Him.

That prays to its Lord and implores Him.

وَلَمّا بَدا ما تَمَّ مِن حُسنِ نَظمه

وَلَمّا بَدا ما تَمَّ مِن حُسنِ نَظمه

وَحازَ العُلى مَبداهُ ثُمَّ عَواقِبُه

وَحازَ العُلى مَبداهُ ثُمَّ عَواقِبُه

And when the perfected beauty of its arrangement appeared,

When the perfection of its design appeared

And its beginning, then its outcomes, attained the heights,

And its high purpose and outcome were achieved,

أَتى فيهِ قَولٌ لِلمؤَرِّخ بَيِّنٌ

أَتى فيهِ قَولٌ لِلمؤَرِّخ بَيِّنٌ

أُتمّ بإِسعادٍ وَنَصرٍ يُصاحِبُه

أُتمّ بإِسعادٍ وَنَصرٍ يُصاحِبُه

About it came a clear saying by the chronicler:

There came in it a clear verse from the historian:

It was completed with good fortune and victory attending it.

"Concluded with fortune and victory beside it."
