بَنو الشَهرِ الحَرامِ فَلَستَ مِنهُم

بَنو الشَهرِ الحَرامِ فَلَستَ مِنهُم

وَلَستَ مِنَ الكِرامِ بَني العُبَيدِ

وَلَستَ مِنَ الكِرامِ بَني العُبَيدِ

The sons of the sacred month—you are not one of them;

You are not of those born in the sacred months,

Nor are you among the noble sons of al-ʿUbayd;

Nor are you of the noble sons of slaves,

وَلا مِن رَهطِ جَبّارِ بنِ قُرطٍ

وَلا مِن رَهطِ جَبّارِ بنِ قُرطٍ

وَلا مِن رَهطِ حارِثَةَ اِبنِ زَيدِ

وَلا مِن رَهطِ حارِثَةَ اِبنِ زَيدِ

Nor of the clan of Jabbār son of Qurṭ;

Nor of the tribe of Jabbar son of Qurat,

Nor of the clan of Ḥārithah son of Zayd.

Nor of the tribe of Haritha son of Zayd.
