وَإِذاand if أَرَدتَyou desire بِأَرضِin the land of عُكلٍʿUkl نائِلاًa gift
وَإِذا أَرَدتَ بِأَرضِ عُكلٍ نائِلاً
فَاِعمِدthen head لِبَيتِto the house of رَبيعَةَRabīʿah بنِson of حُذارِḤudhār
فَاِعمِد لِبَيتِ رَبيعَةَ بنِ حُذارِ
And if you desire a gift in the land of ʿUkl,
When you crave Ukla's land as your goal
then head to the house of Rabīʿah son of Ḥudhār.
Seek Refuge at Hudhar's son Rabee'ah's abode
يَهَبُhe gives النَجيبَةَthe fine-bred she-camel وَالنَجيبَand the fine-bred mount بِسَرجِهِwith its saddle
يَهَبُ النَجيبَةَ وَالنَجيبَ بِسَرجِهِ
وَالأُدمَand the white she-camels بَينَbetween لَواقِحٍpregnant she-camels وَعِشارِand she-camels ten months pregnant
وَالأُدمَ بَينَ لَواقِحٍ وَعِشارِ
He gives the fine-bred she-camel and the fine-bred mount with its saddle,
With his saddlebags he grants the noble man and woman refuge
and white she-camels—some pregnant, others ten months with young.
And chestnut horses amid mares and stallions galore
