Until you grasp the stars with your hand.

أَتَمَنَّيت فِراقي

أَتَمَنَّيت فِراقي

فَلَقَد نِلتَ مُناكا

فَلَقَد نِلتَ مُناكا

Did you wish to part from me?

You wished we'd part -

Then indeed you have attained your wish.

Well, you've got your wish.

وَأَرى في الدارِ قَوما

وَأَرى في الدارِ قَوما

كُلُّهُم يَهوى رَداكا

كُلُّهُم يَهوى رَداكا

And I see people in the house,

And I see in this house people

all of whom desire your death.

Who all desire your return.

فَاِجتَنِبنا بَعدَ وَصلٍ

فَاِجتَنِبنا بَعدَ وَصلٍ

أَنتَ ما سَدَّيتَ ذاكا

أَنتَ ما سَدَّيتَ ذاكا

So avoid us after a union—

So after our union avoid us -

you did not forge that bond.”
