فجنوب أثبرة فبطن عسابِ

Far, far from you are Qaʿqaʿān and Baldaḥ—

Far from you lie Quʿayqiʿān and Baldaḥ,

then Athbarah’s southern reaches, then ʿAsāb’s inner valley;

and the southern reaches of Athbirah, and the valley floor of ʿAsāb,

فالهاوتانِ فكبكبٌ فتجاوب

فالهاوتانِ فكبكبٌ فتجاوب

فالبوص فالأفراغ من أشقاب

فالبوص فالأفراغ من أشقاب

then al-Lahwātān, then Kabkab, then Tajāwub;

and al-Hāwatān, and Kabkab, and Tajāwub,

then al-Būṣ, then al-Afrāḥ amid mountain clefts.
