هاشِمُ بَحرٌ إِذا سَما وَطَما

أَخمَدَ حَرَّ الحَريقِ وَاِضطَرَما

Hashim is an ocean, when it rises high and rages

It quenches the heat of the blaze and flames

وَاِعلَم وَخَيرُ المَقالِ أَصدَقُهُ

بِأَنَّ مَن رامَ هاشِماً هُشِما

And know, the best of speech is its truest

That whoever contends with Hashim will be crushed
